I understand now that Aer Lingus is responsible for my luggage (even though two representatives said otherwise.) and am planning to call them tomorrow regarding the Montreal Convention. I only had one outfit in my carry on bag all my clothing for a month is in my now lost bag. My situation is that I am volunteering to do farm work in some rural areas in Switzerland. I then did some research and ended up filing a claim with Aer Lingus directly. ![]() Zurich airport says they have yet to find my luggage, while Aer Lingus says there is nothing they can do about it and claimed they as an airline cannot trace it. I have been in contact with the Zurich airport baggage office and Aer Lingus. One day later no luggage and no update on World Tracer. I was informed that the luggage is likely stuck in Dublin due to the short layover there, and that it would likely be delivered the next morning, as there was still going to be a flight that day. When I arrived in Zurich, I was unable to find my luggage so I filed a lost baggage claim there at the Zurich airport. My flight from O'Hare to Dublin was delayed by an hour, causing my layover in Dublin to be extremely short (~40 mins). Hi all, I (a US passport holding citizen) flew from O'Hare to Zurich, with a layover in Dublin on August 01 with Aer Lingus.
